    Vendor Terms

These rules are in place to ensure that Modden remains a welcoming and healthy environment for customers and vendors alike

    Last Updated: April 2025

These Vendor Terms apply to all creators accepted to the Modden marketplace. By participating as a Vendor, you agree to uphold the quality, integrity, and community standards of the Modden platform.

    1. Platform Rights & Vendor Participation

    • Vendor access is granted at our discretion and may be revoked at any time, for any reason, with or without notice.

    • Vendors act as representatives of Modden and are expected to maintain professionalism, comply with all platform policies, and contribute positively to the community.

    • We reserve the right to remove any vendor, content, or product at our sole discretion, including for violations of policy, quality standards, or user safety.

    2. Usage Rights & Platform License

    • By uploading content to Modden, you grant Modden a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use your products for promotional purposes, including giveaways, advertisements, and social media.

    • You authorize Modden to issue DMCA takedown notices on your behalf for any unauthorized distribution of your products.

    • Modden retains the right to archive or unlist any product for administrative or quality-related purposes.

    3. Payment Structure

    • Modden functions as the merchant of record. Customers purchase from Modden, and Vendors receive 90% of the net revenue (after transaction and platform fees).

    • All transactions must occur through the platform. Circumventing platform fees (e.g., direct PayPal sales) is strictly prohibited and may result in removal.

    • Vendors must complete Stripe Connect onboarding to receive payouts. Incomplete onboarding will delay or block payment delivery.

    4. Product Standards & Restrictions

    • All submitted products must be original and created by the Vendor or their approved team.

    • AI-generated assets are not allowed. Content must be handcrafted and meet artistic and technical quality requirements.

    • Products must meet or exceed the standard demonstrated in the vendor’s application.

    • Content containing excessive vulgarity, sexual themes, or offensive material will not be permitted.

    5. Exclusive Products

    • Exclusive listings are eligible for additional perks or promotions but must not be sold on competing marketplaces.

    • Exceptions: CurseForge and Modrinth are permitted for compatibility or discovery purposes.

    • Violating exclusivity may result in removal from promotional listings or vendor status revocation.

    6. Product Management & File Structure

    • Products must be archived, not deleted. Customer licenses are perpetual and must remain accessible for re-download.

    • Use structured packaging for product variants (e.g., dyeable and non-dyeable options).

    • Reuploads are allowed only when accompanied by substantial updates—either structural or visual.

    7. Documentation Requirements

    • Each product must include clear documentation:

      • File types and folder structure

      • Required and optional dependencies

      • Supported Minecraft versions and plugins

    • Products without clear setup instructions may be removed until documentation is corrected.

    8. Support Obligations

    • Vendors must respond to product support tickets within 48 hours, and resolve issues within 7 days whenever possible.

    • If you are unavailable, you must notify Modden staff in advance.

    • Supporting products not created by your vendor account is prohibited unless pre-approved.

    9. Sales, Discounts & Promotions

    • All sales or promotional discounts must have a clearly stated start and end date.

    • Vendors may not manipulate prices before or after sales to mislead customers.

    • Private or deceptive discounting tactics are not allowed.

    10. Advertising & External Links

    • External links are not permitted in product descriptions.

    • Vendors may link to external communities (e.g., Discord) through designated dashboard areas or include links in bundled documentation files.

    • Directing customers to external storefronts is strictly forbidden.

    11. Teams, Partnerships & Profit Splits

    • Only approved vendors may sell on Modden. Team members must be registered under the account or acknowledged during onboarding.

    • Team leads are accountable for the behavior and output of their members.

    • Revenue sharing and profit splits must be handled transparently via the vendor dashboard’s wallet system.

    12. Commissions & Custom Work

    • Modden does not directly manage commission terms between buyers and vendors.

    • However, vendors are expected to uphold all deadlines and agreements made through Modden or related platforms.

    • Repeated failure to deliver commissions or communicate with clients may result in disciplinary action or vendor suspension.

    13. Community Conduct

To preserve a safe and professional environment:

    • Racism, hate speech, harassment, or drama instigation is strictly prohibited.

    • Vendors must treat customers and peers with respect across all interactions—both on and off the platform.

    • Public slander or aggressive behavior toward other vendors, staff, or users is grounds for removal.

    14. Violations & Enforcement

    • Violations of these terms may result in:

      • Temporary suspension of products or payouts

      • Permanent removal from the platform

      • Revocation of exclusive perks or listing priority

    • Enforcement actions are at Modden’s discretion.

    15. Amendments

These Vendor Terms may be updated from time to time. You will be notified of material changes, and continued use of the platform constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.
