Welcome to Modden, a modern multi-vendor marketplace for Minecraft creators and players. By using our platform, you agree to the following legally binding terms. Please read them carefully.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using the Modden website, dashboards, APIs, or services (“Platform”), you agree to these Terms of Service (“Terms”), our Privacy Policy, and any additional terms that apply to specific sections of the site or services. If you do not agree, you may not use Modden.
2. Platform Overview
Modden is a marketplace operated by Cadogy that enables (“Vendors”) to sell digital Minecraft assets to users (“Customers”) through a managed platform. Modden facilitates sales, downloads, subscriptions, and community engagement, and processes payments and payouts on behalf of Vendors via Stripe Connect.
3. User Accounts
You must be at least 13 years old to use Modden.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account.
You may not impersonate others or misrepresent your identity.
You may not use the platform for any illegal or unauthorized purpose.
4. Vendor Accounts
Vendor access is subject to application and approval.
Vendors must comply with all platform policies, branding standards, and product quality guidelines.
Modden acts as the seller of record and pays Vendors 90% of net earnings after platform fees via Stripe Connect.
Vendors must provide accurate tax, payout, and identity information through Stripe.
5. Stripe Connect & Payments
Payments to Vendors are managed using Stripe Connect, subject to Stripe’s Connect Platform Agreement.
Vendors must onboard through Stripe to receive payouts. Failure to complete verification will delay or block earnings.
Modden may deduct fees, issue refunds to customers, or withhold earnings for violations or disputes.
6. Digital Products & Licensing
Products must be original, high-quality, and meet all documentation and compatibility standards.
No AI-generated or copyright-infringing content is allowed.
Modden grants Customers a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use products after purchase.
Products are archived, not deleted. Licenses remain valid after product archiving.
7. Subscriptions
Modden may offer recurring subscriptions to access premium features or vendor perks. By subscribing, you agree to:
Automatic billing at your selected interval (monthly/yearly).
Cancellation effective at the end of the current billing cycle.
No refunds for partial billing periods unless required by law.
8. Refunds & Disputes
Refunds may be issued at Modden’s discretion for defective products or vendor misconduct.
Vendors may be held financially responsible for repeated quality issues or support violations.
Chargebacks may result in account restrictions or bans.
9. Conduct & Community Rules
All users must:
Treat others with respect—no hate speech, harassment, or discrimination.
Refrain from slandering vendors, staff, or other users.
Follow all Discord and site-specific channel rules.
Vendors must:
Provide support for their products within 48 hours, with a 7-day resolution window.
Notify staff of extended absences.
Not support third-party products unless authorized.
10. Marketing & External Use
By uploading content, Vendors grant Modden permission to use assets for platform marketing, promotional events, and giveaways.
External links in product listings are prohibited. Use bundled files (e.g., README) or vendor dashboard features for Discord/community links.
11. Commissions, Teams & Partnerships
Commission agreements are managed privately by vendors. Modden is not responsible for failed delivery but may revoke vendor status for repeated failures.
Profit-sharing teams must be approved. Team leads are responsible for member behavior and product quality.
Profit splits are handled transparently through the Modden vendor dashboard.
12. API Access
Modden offers an authenticated API with key-based access and rate limits. By using the API, you agree to:
Keep keys secure and private.
Abide by any published usage quotas.
Not build competing services without permission.
13. Intellectual Property
All site content, including logos, UI components, and platform features, are the intellectual property of Modden or its licensors. You may not copy, modify, or redistribute platform elements without permission.
14. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate any account at our discretion, including for:
Policy violations
Suspicious or fraudulent behavior
Non-compliance with payout or legal obligations
15. Limitation of Liability
Modden is provided “as-is” without warranties. We are not liable for lost profits, data, or business opportunities, nor for damages resulting from service interruptions or product issues.
16. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced via site banner or email. Continued use of the Platform constitutes acceptance.
17. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the state or country in which Modden operates, without regard to conflict of law rules.
